CONFINED SPACE RESCUE TEAM with PETROCHAD GLENCORE

From the October 11th to October 12th 2018 was held in PETROCHAD GLENCORE (BADILA) a training entitled CONFINED SPACE RESCUE TEAM. Due to the ongoing operational duties, the training was held at different times of the day depending on the availability of the delegates.
The Delegates were taught how to don and doff their Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), Gas Detector, Air Filter Mask, Smoke Hood, Escape Life Support Apparatus (ELSA), get familiar with the basics of confined space environment and how to react in case there is a victim to rescue.
The
objectives of this training were to enable each participant to be able to:
- Recognize, evaluate and control confined space
hazards; - Save lives and protect employees from
job-related injuries and illnesses; - Promote safe and effective work practices;
- Reduce preventable workers’ compensation costs
- Comply with PETROCHAD
GLENCORE policy/procedures and practices pertaining to confined space
entry.
