Cape Limboh, South West Region, Cameroon — NOIAA LTD, through its Middle East & Africa Operations, has officially inaugurated a groundbreaking On/offshore Maritime Safety Training and Accommodation Centre. Strategically located on the West Coast of Cape Limboh in one of the English-speaking region of Cameroon, the new facility is set to serve as a central hub for Maritime Safety and Offshore Emergency Response Training across the entire African continent.

The inauguration ceremony featured the launch of three pioneering training programs:

  1. Modern Oil and Gas Safety Training
  2. Advanced Firefighting and Offshore Emergency Response Team Member (OERTM) Certification
  3. Offshore Helideck Emergency Response Training for Oil and Gas Personnel

These programs represent a major advancement in the region’s capacity to manage offshore risks, enhance workforce readiness, and ensure alignment with global safety and operational standards in the oil and gas industry.

Speaking at the event, Mola, Chris YOK, Chief Executive Officer for NOIAA LTD – Middle East, Europe, Africa, and Oceanic Operations – reaffirmed the company’s commitment to uplifting the standards of safety, training, and working conditions across Africa:

“I am committed to ensuring that Africa and the Middle East reach the same levels of safety, opportunity, and professionalism as Europe, America, and the Oceanic regions. Africa holds immense natural wealth, and its people deserve to work in environments that value life, dignity, and progress. My vision is for every African worker to return home safely to celebrate with their families—not to face tragedy. This is our mission at NOIAA.”

The company has reportedly invested close to two billion CFA francs in the development of this modern facility—an unprecedented step toward empowering Africa’s offshore workforce and fostering sustainable growth in the region’s maritime and oil and gas sectors.

Mr. Chris YOK, affectionately known as Mola Chris, extended his heartfelt gratitude to all dignitaries, partners, stakeholders, and guests who attended the opening ceremony. He also took the opportunity to address the various onshore and offshore companies present, urging them to prioritize the safety and well-being of their employees.

“I want to sincerely thank everyone who honored our invitation and witnessed this important milestone. Your presence means a great deal to us,” he said. “To all companies operating onshore and offshore, I strongly encourage you to make employee safety your top priority. Invest in their training. Equip them with the knowledge and skills they need to survive and succeed in high-risk environments. Safety is not a luxury—it is a responsibility.”

With the launch of this training centre, NOIAA LTD reaffirms its role as a regional leader in maritime and offshore safety, creating pathways for professional development while setting a new benchmark for operational excellence in Africa and beyond.
