NOIAA Ltd trains Orange Cameroon on Work at Height
The company that took over from NickCery Conglomerate, NOIAA LTD which is also a subsidiary of NOIAA CORP with main office in 2425 West Loop South, Suite 200 Houston, Texas 77027 USA, signed a contract to train ORANGE CAMEROON on Work at height.
ORANGE CAMEROON is one of the biggest telecommunications operators in Cameroon. After 16 years of operation, and with nearly 600 billion FCFA invested, ORANGE CAMEROON has accrued numerous achievements which has made it an outstanding brand in the telecommunications industry over the years.
On the 28th and 29th December, 2018, ORANGE CAMEROUN contracted NOIAA Ltd to train its personnel on Work at height. A training designed to increase awareness of the risks associated with working at heights and encourage workers to take the necessary steps to avoid, prevent or reduce risk of falls from these heights. The objectives of the training included:
– To get the workers at ORANGE CAMEROUN to understand the importance of safety while working at a height.
– To explain the legislation behind work at heights.
– Identify the 3 stages of a working at height risk assessment.
– Identify the correct PPEs (Personal protective equipment) to use for the task at height.
– To get the workers to understand their personal responsibilities regarding their safety while working at height as employees.
Working at heights is common in many industries like Telecommunications, Oil and Gas, and Construction and remains one of the biggest causes of major injuries and fatalities. Due to the high risk of casualties associated with these jobs, Work at Height training was developed to equip employees with the knowledge necessary to carry out their activities at heights in a safe manner.
