Dangote Cement Cameroon SA, just Awarded one of its biggest safety training contracts to National Offshore Institute of Australia and America NOIAA LTD, Africa Operations, which is a subsidiary of NOIAA Corp with main office located in 2425 West Loop South, (Suite 200) Houston, Texas USA. To train its personnel on Man Overboard.

Dangote Cement Cameroon SA contracted NOIAA LTD to train its Port terminal staff on Man Overboard training course, a program that focuses on behavioral objectives to prevent man overboard incidents. The company Dangote Cement Cameroon SA is a cement producer with a handful of its activities being carried out at the port terminal situated the bank of River Wouri where there exist a risk of its employees falling into the river. In an attempt to keep its workplace safe for its personnel, the leading cement producer, Dangote Cement Cameroon SA apportioned the safety training company NOIAA LTD with the responsibility to train its personnel on Man OverBoard prevention techniques, man overboard rescue techniques and how to use man overboard rescue equipment. The training was a mix of theoretical and practical sessions in which the attendees where equipped with man overboard rescue techniques, sea survival techniques in a situation of man overboard and skills to survive the cold temperature of water if personnel falls into water. The theoretical part of the training was done Onsite at Dangote’s premises while the practical session was carried out at a swimming pool where man overboard incidents were simulated and the participants where trained on the various man overboard rescue and sea survival techniques.
The 2-days Man Overboard training with Dangote was completed successfully and the participants were very satisfied with the quality of the training especially the intense practical session designed to prepare individuals for emergency man overboard situations. The trainees also lauded the professionalism and knowledge of the trainers from NOIAA LTD who delivered the training.
